Forest school comes to an end
Our final Forest School session was packed with adventure, exploration and unforgettable memories! The children embraced the great outdoors, working together, using their imaginations and developing their confidence through play.
Gathered around the campfire, everyone enjoyed making delicious s'mores, learning how to stay safe around the fire while experiencing the excitement of outdoor cooking. Laughter echoed through the woods as the children played a thrilling game of Sardines, using their observation skills and teamwork to find one another.
Creativity blossomed as the children used natural materials to paint beautiful leaves, discovering the different shapes, patterns and textures found in nature. The mud kitchen was as popular as ever, with children mixing, measuring and creating imaginative woodland recipes.
The highlight of the day came when the children made an exciting discovery—a real leaf bug! They observed it carefully with curiosity and awe, talking about how it was perfectly camouflaged amongst the leaves.
What a fantastic way to end our Forest School journey. The children have built resilience, curiosity, teamwork and a real love for the natural world. It has been wonderful watching their confidence grow with every adventure! 🌳🍃✨
