Jon Klassen - Author

Our English lessons at RAPS are based each term on a different book. This is the same throughout the school, each year group has a different selection of books. 

In term 1, our book was I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen. The children loved it and it's one that the adults particularly enjoyed too (I don't always enjoy every children's book I read!). We then happened to find a second book of his in the school library and loved that one as well - his illustrations are great at demonstrating meaning and the stories are quite funny.

I then was able to order his other books from the local library, if you have a child's account then it's free to request books to be sent to a library of your choice. We've read through lots of his other books but the children were desperate for me to let their grown ups know, I think a few children are keen to request them from the library too. So this blog is a children request blog!
