Team A-W: Art to Start Term 5
Published 27/04/26, by Kiki AminThis term, our topic is called ‘Life as a Journey’. For our Art to Start, we explored some of the incredible insect specimens in resin that we have at RAPS! They reminded us of our Pfizer workshops in STEAM week, when we studied different creatures encased in resin too. From this, we drew observational drawings of the beautiful minibeasts we had seen! We especially enjoyed drawing so intricately by using the magnifying glasses to see closer! Come and have a look at our Art to Start display once it goes up inside our classroom!

Perfect Planting - Team AW
Published 24/04/26, by Joshua CialisThis week, Yr 2 have been getting outside for some gardening. We began Thursday with a talk by Wilderness to Wonderland, a voluntary organisation who look after community gardens around Thanet. We will be helping them by nurturing some baby plants until they are big enough to be planted at Margate train station.
We really enjoyed planting the tiny plug plants into bigger pots. Now all we need to do is keep them watered and happy!

Team A-M design 'useful' inventions!
Published 26/03/26, by Kiki AminThis week, we have been learning about significant inventors, including the Wright brothers and Caroline Haslett. Inspired by our learning, we partnered up and designed our own inventions that would make our everyday life easier! From creations that would feed our pets for us to pens that would read our minds and write for us, from robots to do jobs our adults ask us to do to portable machines that give us any snack we need when we are hungry, we had a lot of fun using our imagination to be 'inventors'! Ask us all about it!
