Monday is for Mindfulness

Mondays can be a difficult morning for children and adults, which is why we always start the week with a mindfulness session. 

In our mindfulness sessions we have time to check in using questions such as "if you were an animal based on how you're feeling, what would it be?", practice breathing techniques and complete a guided meditation. Sometimes, we complete an art-based, quiet activity, but at the moment our focus is on playing games collaboratively. Every week, we have been trying out different playground games, focusing on following our school rules and having fun, which we can then play in our break times and lunch times.
