British Values

Today we learnt about facts, opinions, and individual liberty, and we talked about how we live in a country that values democracy, where people are encouraged to share their ideas and make choices. We discussed how individual liberty means having the freedom to think, speak, and express ourselves respectfully. We also learnt about free speech and how the Human Rights Act 1998 helps protect people’s right to share their opinions. We talked about the importance of using kind and respectful words and learnt that hurtful or hateful speech is not allowed because everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.
