Art and PE

Our first art and PE lessons went off with a bang!
On Thursday, Blue Room had their very first PE and Art sessions – and what a fantastic start it was! All of the children took part in both activities with lots of enthusiasm, and a few chose to sit out during PE to watch and get a feel for the games.
In PE, we played two exciting games: Domes and Dishes and Farmers and Foxes. In Domes and Dishes, the children were split into two teams – one team worked to turn the cones upwards like domes, while the other team flipped them over like dishes. It was fast-paced and full of energy!
Next, we played Farmers and Foxes, a fun chasing game where the "foxes" had bibs tucked in like tails. The "farmers" had to try and catch the tails as the foxes raced across the space. It was a great way to build teamwork, speed, and lots of laughter!
In Art, we spent time getting to know our new Art teacher. The children enjoyed decorating the covers of their brand-new art books, using lots of colour, stickers, and creative ideas to make them truly their own.
It was a great start to PE and Art in Blue Room – we’re already looking forward to next week!
