End of Term 1!

Wow! What an amazing first term in Year 1! The children have settled in beautifully and have grown so much in confidence and independence. We are so proud of how hard everyone has worked and how much they have already learned.

This term, our topic ‘Me and My Place’ has helped us explore who we are and where we live. We’ve learned about our senses, parts of the body, and our local area. In English, we’ve loved retelling the story I Want My Hat Back and even created our own versions! In maths, we’ve covered so much, from fact families and part–whole models to greater than and less than and sorting objects. What super mathematicians we’ve become!

We can’t wait to continue our learning adventures in Term 2!

A quick reminder: we return to school on Tuesday 28th October, and children should come to school in their PE kit on that day.
