Team Piper Move On From 2D Shapes!

Shaping up to be little mathematicians!

Team Piper have now completed the first part of our learning on 2D shapes. The children have really enjoyed exploring circles, triangles, squares and rectangles, and noticing them in the classroom and around school.

We’re now moving on to focusing on numbers 4 and 5, looking closely at what these numbers look like, how they can be made, and the different ways we can show them.

To help consolidate the shape learning we’ve done so far, why not listen to a 2D shapes song at home? Can your child spot any 2D shapes in your house, on their toys, or when you’re out on a walk? These quick little chats really help children connect their learning to the world around them.

Well done Team Piper — onto our next maths adventure! ✨
