Egyptian Art: Session 1

The children explored Ancient Egyptian culture by creating their own cartouches using salt dough. They carefully moulded the dough and then carved their names or initials using Egyptian hieroglyphics, just like the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago.

The children showed great focus, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the session, and their cartouches are already looking fantastic. On Friday, we will continue this work by painting the cartouches to bring them to life.
