Parents and grown-ups are invited into school every other Thursday to read to the children and their friends. It is a calm, cosy time where the children can sit back, relax and enjoy listening to stories being shared by their grown-ups.

Building a love for reading is one of the most important things we can give our children. When children are read to regularly, it helps to develop their language, imagination, listening skills and love of stories. It also shows them that reading is something to be enjoyed, not just something we do in lessons.

For the children, this time is really special. They love having their grown-ups in school, listening to familiar voices reading their favourite books and sharing stories together in a warm, happy space.

Our Parent Read sessions take place every other Thursday at 2:40pm.
The next session will be on Thursday 29th November.
