Art2Start - mould?
To begin our new topic, we have tried to create the impression of mould growing inside petri dishes, linked to the topic, 'Living Alive'...
For our new topic ‘Living Alive!', the main focus will be scientific – looking at how living creatures are classified, the circulatory system, Darwin’s theory of Evolution and inheritance.
We also look at micro-organisms such as mould. Inspired by images of petri dishes, the children tried to recreate the effect by trying different brush strokes and techniques including carefully flicking paint. Once completed, their favourite part of the artwork was placed within a petri dish for display!
