Upcoming trips

Volunteers needed please.

On Monday 9th February Year 3 will be going to the library. Team Bullard will be leaving school at 8:45 and Team Hayzelden at 10:15.

Then, on Wednesday 11th February Year 3 will be catching the train to Canterbury to visit the Beaney Museum. We will be leaving school at 8:30 on this day.

We are in need of parent volunteers for both trips in order for these to go ahead. If you are available to help on either trips, please let either the office, Miss Hayzelden or Miss Bullard know by Wednesday 4th February.

Many Thanks,

Miss Hayzelden and Miss Bullard

Further information regarding the Beaney trip :

This term Year 3’s RAPS Curriculum topic is ‘From Stone to Iron, where pupils will learn all about prehistory and the Ages. To enrich their learning experience, we will be embarking on a school trip to the Beaney in Canterbury on Wednesday 11th February 2026 for a special workshop and to explore their museum.

Pupils will travel there and back from RAPS by train. They will leave school at 8.30am to catch the train for 9am so it is very important children are in school on time as the team will leave promptly. Collection will be as normal at 4.15pm from school. The cost of the trip is £12, which can be paid via MCAS.

To ensure maximum comfort during the trip, we ask that your child wears their full school uniform and trainers. As we will be outdoors for parts of the day, please also ensure your child is dressed for the weather. Pupils will also be required to bring their own packed lunch (no sweets, fizzy drinks or foods with nuts). If your child normally receives a Free School Meal, this will be provided by the school as normal.

Many thanks,

Year 3
