Playdough Fun in Team Piper

Getting Messy with Mrs Smith...

We in Team Piper are so lucky to have Mrs Smith as our class TA. She loves getting messy with the children and creating fun, hands-on experiences, one of their favourites being playdough.

Playdough is a brilliant resource in Reception. As the children roll, squeeze, pinch and mould the dough, they are strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers. These fine motor skills are really important as they support children with everyday tasks such as holding a pencil, using scissors, fastening buttons and becoming confident writers.

Using playdough also encourages creativity, imagination and language. The children love talking about what they are making, sharing ideas with their friends and feeling proud of their creations. Best of all, learning feels fun and engaging.

Thank you Mrs Smith for always bringing the fun, keeping the mess at school and not at home haha!
