K'nex engineering project.
Team Williams kicked off Steam week with a design challenge.
Using K'NEX, a popular construction toy system using rods and connectors to build models, the children were given a design brief: to design and build a model for a new piece of apparatus in our school playground.
To begin with, the children were given free time to explore using K'nex so that they gained an understanding of what it could do, before working as a team to design a new piece of playground apparatus. Once completed, they used collaborations to realise their brief.
The children really enjoyed this project and worked brilliantly to build some truly amazing models.
