Number Day - Team Hayzelden

This morning, we had four different workshops for number day, delivered by each of the Year 2 and 3 teachers.

Firstly, Team Hayzelden went to Team McCurry for a fun investigation called '3 Dice' which focussed on finding all possibilities in a problem.

Then, they visited Team Bullard to explore different patterns, including creating self-portraits from small shapes.

After break, they then returned to Team Hayzelden to use cubes to explore different shapes and pattern relations, using logic and generalising. 

Finally, they headed to Team Brun-Cialis to play 'Chicken and Foxes'  which required them to work systematically to help the fox cross the water. Mr Brun-Cialis also commented on how fantastic their collaboration skills were in this investigation!

Overall, it has been a great second day for STEAM week, and we are looking forward to what tomorrow brings.
