Stories, space and cookies 🍪

This term we have absolutely loved exploring Astro Girl through our Power of Reading sessions. The story has captured the children’s imaginations and sparked wonderful discussions about space, dreams, determination and believing in ourselves. The children have shown fantastic enthusiasm during our lessons, sharing their ideas, asking thoughtful questions and making brilliant connections to their own experiences. To bring the story to life even more, we made cookies just like Astrid. The children were so excited to take part and carefully followed instructions, measured ingredients and talked about the changes they could see as they baked. It was such a special way to deepen our understanding of the story while developing language, teamwork and real life skills. We are so proud of how engaged the children have been during Power of Reading this term. Their love for stories continues to grow each day and we cannot wait to begin our brand new book next term and start another exciting reading adventure together. ✨
