The Speaker Competition

The Speaker is an oracy competition where pupils prepare and deliver a speech of up to two minutes on a set topic, without props or presentations. Class winners compete across the school, with four advancing to represent the school, and two overall winners crowned for Viking Speaker 2026. One from Years 3–4 and one from Years 5–6.

This year we invite you to ‘Pitch your passion’ to us. Choose something you are genuinely passionate about. This could be anything from capybaras to climate change, cross stitch to cricket. Children have begun writing their speeches in class and now need to finish them before 9th March as this will be the week we begin to hear them in class! Good Luck Team O!
