Love to learn- Ready, Steady, Grow! Team Piper

Our new topic this term is Ready, Steady, Grow! and we would love to invite you to take part in our next Love to Learn activity.

Love to Learn activities are optional home learning tasks designed to help build a child’s curiosity and love of learning beyond the classroom. They are a lovely opportunity for families to explore learning together in a relaxed and meaningful way.

For this activity, we would like you to help your child plant some seeds at home. This could be flowers, herbs, fruit or vegetables. Your child can then care for their plant and watch how it changes as it grows.

As a family, you could:

Plant the seeds together
Talk about what you notice as the plant begins to grow
Take photos of each stage
Scribe (write down) your child’s words and observations about the changes they see

Please record this journey in your child’s Love to Learn book as the plant grows.

Once your plant has grown, please bring it into school. We will add the plants to our garden so the children can continue to care for them, water them and watch them grow even more.
