World Book Day wonder!

They began the day with an exciting workshop with author Em Cosh which involved them channelling their creativity by designing a piece of clothing with some kind of magical power! The children then enjoyed a teacher swap where another teacher came into the classroom to share their favourite books with them. Following this, they all took part in the BBC's live lesson and then got to design their own book-themed bookmarks. We finished the day by taking part in the Voice – this involved recording themselves reading an extract from their favourite books, using as much expression as possible, which the class then listened to (whilst trying to identify the reader)! We were so impressed with the confidence shown in reading aloud to their peers during this activity. A wonderful day all round with so many brilliant costumes and books shared
