Keeping our teeth healthy!
This week, we have been learning about different types of teeth and how to keep them healthy. We learned that we have baby teeth when we are young, and these are replaced by adult teeth, including wisdom teeth when we are older.
We found out about different types of teeth and their jobs. Incisors are at the front and help us bite into food. Molars are at the back and help us chew and grind food.
We also learned that our teeth are covered by a hard layer called enamel, which protects them. However, if we do not look after our teeth, plaque can build up and cause damage.
To keep our teeth healthy, we should brush twice a day for two minutes, clean every tooth carefully, use floss or mouthwash, and limit sugary foods and drinks.
