Amazing artists in Team Piper!

Today we explored the question… Can I create flower artwork?

We looked closely at Vincent van Gogh and his famous painting Sunflowers, noticing the colours, shapes and textures he used.

The children then became artists themselves! They carefully observed pictures of flowers and created their own artwork using the posh pastels from the art room!

We focused on:
• looking closely at details
• exploring different techniques
• using materials safely

The results were incredible — Mrs Piper and Mrs Smith were blown away! 🤩

💬 Try this at home:
• Look at flowers in your garden or on a walk and draw what you see
• Talk about colours, shapes and textures
• Try using crayons, chalk or pastels
• Ask your child to explain how they made their artwork
