Our week of personal development!

This week in Personal Development, we have looked at the important value of respect. We thought carefully about what respect looks like in our classroom and created posters to show how we can be kind, thoughtful, and respectful to others.

We also learnt about people who help in our society. During Choosing Time, we created our own role-play village, where we took on different jobs such as scientists making medicines, farmers, shopkeepers, chefs, and restaurant workers. It was so much fun acting out these roles and understanding how everyone helps our community in different ways.

Another part of our learning was about manners. We explored how to use good manners and what to do if we see or hear poor manners — thinking about how we can gently make better choices. As an extra challenge, we even learnt how to say “please,” “thank you,” “sorry,” and “help” in British Sign Language (BSL)!

It has been a wonderful week of learning about how we can be kind, respectful, and responsible members of our community. 💛
