To begin our new topic 'Our Precious World', we looked at a piece of artwork that shows contrasting trees and attempted to recreate it...
For our new topic ‘Our Precious World’, the main focus will be geographical – looking at how the world is divided up, time zones, biomes and climate.
One of the biggest challenges that has ever faced our planet is global warming and climate change. We looked at an image that can be interpreted in different ways – whether that is the seasons, layers of the earth or how climate change is affecting the world.
Inspired by this image, the children tried to recreate it. Using a variety of shades, blending and creating different tones through pressure, the children were able to generate depth and realism.
