Maths in Team Piper...

This week, we have been learning all about 3D shapes. We have been naming shapes such as cubes, cuboids, spheres, cylinders and cones, and talking about what we notice.

You can support this at home by going on a 3D shape hunt together. Can your child find a tin that looks like a cylinder, a ball that looks like a sphere, or a box that looks like a cuboid?

Encourage them to say, “I notice…” when talking about the shapes they find.
