Team Piper Viking Games...

A celebration of teamwork, kindness and sportsmanship
Today Reception took part in our RAPS Viking Games and we are so proud of them!
The Viking Games are a lovely chance for children across the Viking Academy Trust to come together, take part in different sporting activities and practise important skills such as teamwork, resilience, kindness and sportsmanship. It is not just about winning, but about trying our best, cheering each other on and representing our school beautifully.
Our Reception children were fantastic today. They showed great enthusiasm during each activity and listened carefully to the Year 5 helpers, who did a brilliant job supporting the games. The children took part in a range of activities including balancing, football, bean bag throw, relay races and egg and spoon races.
We were especially proud of how kind and welcoming the children were to our friends from Chilton. They showed lovely manners, encouraged others and helped make the event feel friendly and fun for everyone.
We are still waiting to find out the final results, but whatever the outcome, we are incredibly proud of all the children for taking part with such brilliant attitudes.
Well done Reception! More photos below...
