Seaside Singers

At the end of last term, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Seaside Singers at our school for an afternoon of singing, hot drinks and biscuits.
The Seaside singers are a dementia-friendly community choir that sing to improve wellbeing and memory, as some of the members are either living with dementia themselves or have been impacted by dementia in some way. A range of children from Year 5, those who take part in our Sing from the Heart sessions, went down to the hall to meet the group. They then joined together to sing some songs, followed by enjoying some conversation whilst having some drinks and biscuits. The Year 5 children were so polite to our guests, asking them questions about themselves, serving them refreshments and making them feel welcome here at RAPS. It was an incredibly wholesome afternoon and one that put a smile on everyone's faces.
