Poetry inspired by 'Floodland'
Our final published piece of writing was completed this week, using the text 'Floodland' as inspiration for a piece of poetry...
Looking at examples for inspiration, we revisited and explored poetic devices such as alliteration, personification, similes and metaphors. Next, we considered the theme for each stanza - from a calm, tranquil ocean, to one being polluted and warmed by the actions through to a raging beast that seeks revenge!
