Fair Shares and Tasty Maths!
Exploring sharing and equal groups...
Team Piper have started a new unit in Maths all about sharing and grouping.
We began with Step 1: Explore sharing and used crackers to help us understand what sharing means. We talked about how to make it fair and not fair, and used the words equal and not equal to describe what we could see.
The children were brilliant at explaining their thinking and noticing when everyone had the same amount, or when something needed changing to make it fair.
Of course, the best part was getting to eat the crackers at the end!
