Art to Start

This week, the children took inspiration from the architectural drawings of J.M.W. Turner to create their own pencil drawings of iconic landmarks. We focused on developing our shading and hatching skills, exploring how different pencil techniques can create tone, texture, and depth. The children carefully observed the shapes and details of famous buildings before sketching their own designs, showing great concentration and creativity throughout the lesson. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they experimented with light and shadow to bring their drawings to life, producing some fantastic pieces of artwork.
