The Mayans and modern Mexico
This week, the children have produced some exceptional learning based on our topic...
We learnt about different elements of everyday life in the Mayan civilisation - including jobs, housing, diet etc. Next, we reminded ourselves how to read locations on maps - from 4-digit to 6-digit grid references.
Finally, we moved on to explore modern Mexico, thinking about key facts (capital city, language, currency etc), as well as food, festivals and famous landmarks. Attached are a selection of photos from some of the topic books. The presentation is wonderful.
