Team B-C: Telling the time

In maths today we continued our learning on telling the time using an analogue clock. Having previously looked at o'clock and half past, we moved on to quarter to and quarter past the hour.

The children used their own clocks to make different times and practised drawing the hands onto clock faces to match a given time.

Telling the time is a really tricky thing to get your head round and they all showed such determination to master the skill, even in this heat! If there's any opportunity for children to practise their time reading at home, it would really reinforce their learning; they should be able to identify the features of the clock face and o'clock, half past, quarter to and quarter past.
