As part of our People, Heroes and the World topic, Team Piper have been learning about the everyday heroes who help our community. This week, we focused on the important role of the police.
We explored how police officers help to keep us safe, support people in need and work hard to protect our communities. To bring our learning to life, we were delighted to welcome PC Barnes and his police dog to our classroom. They shared how they work together to help people and explained what life is like as a police officer.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and asked lots of thoughtful questions, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn first-hand about the valuable work the police do every day.
