Groovy Greeks

We had so much fun on Friday at our Ancient Greek day! Read to find out all about it!
I was so impressed by the costumes as the children were coming in! The day started off with a broken Greek vase puzzle that the children had to put back together. We then went to the hall for a Greek dancing workshop led by Miss Mays and learnt a traditional dance called the Zorba. Then we had a drama workshop where we had to imagine we were in a Greek marketplace (Agora) being buyers and sellers, Ancient Olympians preparing and competing in the games and then finally creating freeze-frames of well-known myths. After lunch, we tried some Greek food including olives, feta, pitta, tzatziki and humus. Then we finished off the day making wreaths and learning to do some Greek writing! We had such a good day as you can see in the photos attached.
