🔍✨ Sorting Superstars! ✨🔍

This week in Reception, the children have been turning into sorting detectives! With curious minds and busy hands, they’ve been exploring all the different ways we can sort the world around us.

We started with colours — “Is it red… or not red?” The children hunted high and low, finding all sorts of treasures to place into their groups. Then we got hands-on with textures — sorting spiky from not spiky, and smooth from not smooth.

There were gasps, giggles, and lots of brilliant thinking as the children discovered that sorting isn't just about colours and textures — it's about noticing, comparing, and asking questions. Some even invented their own sorting rules!

Who knew sorting could be so exciting?
