🔤✨ We Can Make Words! ✨🔤

Something magical has been happening in Reception… we’ve started blending sounds together to make real words! 🪄📚

Using our super sound powers, we’ve been stretching and squashing sounds like c-a-t and m-a-p to read them as whole words — cat! map! The children have been so proud to hear themselves reading for real!

We’ve also been using magnetic letters to build words on the board. There’s been a buzz of excitement as the children pick out sounds, blend them together, and shout out the words they’ve made. It’s like word-building magic!

Every letter has a sound, and when we blend them… the words come to life! 🧲🗣️💬
