Remembrance Day in EYFS 🌺

11.11.2025
Today, we learned about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies to remember the brave people who have helped to keep us safe. We took part in a two-minute silence, showing respect and thinking quietly about those special people.
We enjoyed lots of poppy-themed activities, including:
-
Scooping and pouring red rice in poppy shapes to build our fine motor skills
-
Mixing poppy red potions in our water and investigation area
-
Cutting and creating poppies using paper and scissors
-
Making poppies with playdough, exploring shape, texture, and creativity
The children showed great respect and curiosity, and we are very proud of how thoughtfully they took part in our Remembrance Day learning. 🌺
