Full, Empty, Half full

Introducing Full, Empty and Half Full
The children explored the concepts of full, empty and half full through a hands-on sand and water activity. Using jugs and containers, they poured, filled, and emptied independently, noticing how the levels changed.
The children experimented with filling containers until they were full, emptying them completely, and stopping halfway to create half-full containers. Adults supported learning by modelling vocabulary and asking open-ended questions such as “What happens if you add more?” and “How do you know it is half full?”
