The Same or Different? Maths in Team Piper...

In maths today, Team Piper have been learning all about sorting objects into groups. We practised saying what was the same and what was different, and discovered that objects can be sorted in more than one way.

Using loose parts like cubes, counters, bears and pom-poms, the children explored sorting by type, colour, size, and shape. We had lots of fun talking about our choices and explaining our thinking.

You could even try this at home using things around the house! For example, socks, toys, cutlery, or even snacks! Ask your child, “What’s the same? What’s different?” to help them practise their learning. :)
