Team Piper: Today in Maths… 🍌

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

Today in maths, Team Piper explored repeating patterns using fruit! We looked carefully at the colours and shapes of different fruits and used them to make our own edible AB patterns — like strawberry, banana, strawberry, banana!

The children talked about what comes next in their pattern and spotted any mistakes they could fix before enjoying their tasty creations.

🏠 How to help at home:

🥣 Make patterns at snack time — alternate different fruit, cereal pieces, or even sandwiches and crisps!
🎨 Create patterns with toys, socks, or colouring pens.
🎵 Try sound patterns — clap, stamp, clap, stamp!

The children did brilliantly recognising and describing their patterns — well done Team Piper! 👏
