Topic: Team Piper Discover a Crime Scene!

It wasn’t us… it was Goldilocks! 💛
This week, Team Piper arrived at school to find something very strange… a crime scene!
There were three chairs — one big, one medium, and one small — three bowls, lots of pillows and even some porridge oats scattered around! We used magnifying glasses, clipboards and paper to carefully record our clues, draw what we saw, and share our ideas.
After lots of detective work, we decided it must have been Goldilocks!
Then today, we had a very special visitor — Daddy Bear! He told us how upset he was about the mess in their cottage, and we worked together to help him by describing what Goldilocks looked like so we could help find her.
The children loved using descriptive words and thinking about how Goldilocks might be feeling now!
Talk about it at home:
-
What clues did we find in the classroom?
-
How would you describe Goldilocks?
-
Was she being kind when she went into the bears’ house?
-
What would you do if you were one of the bears?
Well done, Team Piper — our Reception detectives did an amazing job solving the mystery! 🔍✨
