STEAM Week: School of Noise and Team Piper!

As part of our STEAM Week at RAPS, we were lucky to take part in a fantastic sound workshop led by Dan Mayfield from School of Noise.

The children explored sound in a really hands on and exciting way. They experimented with different noises, vibrations and sound making objects, discovering how sounds are created and how they can be changed. 

This workshop linked perfectly with STEAM, combining science, creativity and technology while encouraging the children to think, ask questions and explore in a playful way. It was lovely to see how engaged they were and how confident they became when experimenting with new sounds!

We feel especially lucky as Dan is a parent in our class, and it is wonderful to have members of our RAPS community sharing their skills and passions with the children. Thank you, Dan, for giving us such a memorable STEAM Week experience!
