Maths Recap: Growing 6, 7 and 8

In our first maths lesson back, we spent time recapping our learning from last term’s White Rose Maths block, Growing 6, 7 and 8. The children revisited what they already knew about these numbers and showed great remembering!

We focused on doubling, using practical resources to show doubling. The children practised doubles such as double 3 makes 6 and double 4 makes 8, linking this to our previous learning about how numbers can be made.

It was lovely to see how confident the children were and how much they had remembered. Revisiting learning helps it stick, and they showed they are becoming very secure with these numbers.
