The Bear Can Borrow Our Hats!

Colourful Hats and Creative Writing!

You may have noticed that we came home wearing some wonderful hats! We have been reading the story I Want My Hat Back and thought it would be a great idea to make some of our own – just in case the bear wants to borrow one.

First, we designed our hats on paper, thinking carefully about the shapes, colours, and patterns we wanted to use. Then we got busy making them, choosing different materials and adding our own creative touches. Everyone’s hat looked unique and showed off lots of imagination.

As part of our challenge, we also worked on using adjectives in our writing. We described our hats with words like spotty, shiny, colourful, stripy, and sparkly. It was a brilliant way to practise making our sentences more exciting and to share our ideas with our friends.

We were so proud of our finished hats – and they made us laugh and smile all day long. It was such a fun way to bring our story to life, practise our describing words, and show off our creativity. We wonder what the bear would think if he saw our amazing hats!
