Fire Engine Fun!

As part of our topic about our community and the people who help us, we were so lucky to have a visit from Ramsgate Fire Station, and they even brought a real fire engine with them!

The firefighters talked to us about what to do in an emergency and reminded us of the important number to call, we know this is 999. They explained all the different ways they help to keep people safe and showed us the special clothing and equipment they use when there’s a fire.

We were amazed to see all the hoses, helmets, and tools on the fire engine. The best part was when we each got a chance to sit inside the fire engine. It was so exciting!

After the visit, we were so inspired that we decided to make our own fire engine and then we even put out a ‘fire’ just like real firefighters. It was a brilliant way to bring our learning to life while having lots of fun!
