500 word challenge - Team Bullard
Details about the competition and a look into our English lessons this week.
In English this week, we have been creating our own original stories so that we can enter the BBC's 500 words competition. This is a nationwide short story competition for 5-11 year olds. There are excellent prizes to be won for the children and for the school, as well as a chance to win a ticket to the star-studded final held at Windsor Castle. This year, we will also hold a school wide competition with some local stars (Mr Holliday, Ms O and guests!) judging our in house winners!
The children will bring these stories home over half term to finish and edit. They will then need to submit these online to the BBC as well as bring in to school on Tuesday 21st in order to enter our school competition.
