Creating snowy settings in Team Bullard
A snowy start to this term's English text 'Ice Palace'.
Team Bullard have really enjoyed their English work this week as we dove head first into the snowdrifts and Baltic atmosphere of Robert Swindell's 'Ice Palace'.
As well as role play, freeze frames and vocabulary banks, we created our own snowy landscapes using watercolours inspired by the first page of our new text.
"Turn your face to the east wind, and if you could see forever you would see Ivan's land. It is a land where summer is short and pale like a celadine; winter is long and cold as an icicle."
