Reading reminder

A gentle reminder of reading expectations.

As we get back into the swing of things, reading continues to be a focus for year 3.

To help support the children in developing strong literacy skills, reading fluency and a life-long love for books, they should be reading at least 4 times a week at home. This can be anything from a chapter book or novel all the way to a leaflet posted through the door.

Children receive a certificate during the celebration assembly on Fridays for reaching 100 reads, and we are very excited as many of Team Bullard are very close to reaching that goal !

We ask that you help remind your children how important their reading folder and record is by them bringing it into school every day so that we can continue to support them making progress by making a note of when they read with us.

Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation.
