Personal Development Lessons in Team Hayzelden

As it is the beginning of a new term, we have been taking part in personal development lessons. 

On Tuesday, we learnt about the value of kindness, thinking about how we could show kindness to the adults in our lives. We talked about how we could open doors for them, use our best manners and ask them about their day. We then created a game with ideas and challenges for other children to show kindness towards adults.

On Wednesday, we took part in an emotional literacy lesson, where we celebrated our strengths and thought of something we wanted to work on. We talked about what we can do to get better at the things we want to do, and Team Hayzelden had some fantastic ideas. 

On Thursday, we learnt all about democracy. We know that democracy means 'rule of the people' and talked about how democracy is present in Britain.

Finally, on Friday we learnt about the different political parties and their manifestos, before having our own mini election!
