Term 1 Art to Start in Team Hayzelden

Today we studied the work of an Italian artist named Giuseppe Archimboldo. He was a well-known artist who painted portraits of people made out of different fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. He would pick food that represented whatever he was painting. For example, when painting a picture that represented ‘autumn’, he would use fruits and vegetables that grew in this season. We then created our own portraits of animals using fruit and vegetables.
