Personal Development Term 2 - Team Hayzelden
This term our focus value is ‘collaboration’.
This week we have been learning about our value of ‘collaboration’. We learnt that collaboration is when you and your friends work together like a team, like superheroes joining forces to save the day! We looked at some of the positive ways that collaboration can help us be successful, such as learning new skills and teaching us about responsibilities.
We then moved on to work in pairs design and colour a Halloween-themed picture, focusing on collaborating together to complete the task successfully.
In the next lesson, we learnt about how to make responsible decisions. Our big question was ‘Do I know the right thing to do?’ and we talked about how some decisions are easy to make, we know what is right or wrong because of laws and rules. However, some are trickier, and we have to think about the positive and negative outcomes before making a decision. We then created short scenes where we acted out our group making a decision to a given situation.
